Lyrical Sunday - Book Spine Poetry.

Welcome! I hope you were inspired and that you found it much easier than I did.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter,
Embracing the moon
Under the mountain
Moonlight and shadow,
In the night kitchen
I capture the castle
(a) slow homecoming

  1. You did so good! I found it really hard. Most of my books are at my parents so I was going through all of the ones I've used for uni. I think it would be cool to do one with kids books :)

  2. Beautiful! I love this! It was such a fun, but also challenging, exercise.

I've used one book the same as you for mine! And I like the look of that 'Embracing the Moon' book! x

  3. "Embracing the moon" - did it mention the perigee moon?

I love the idea of book spine poetry - I'm just one of those people who doesn't have that many books in the house besides kids ones and some technical books. I'm just not sure I can "Linux in a nutshell" or "Infopath solutions" or "Programming in C++" can be strung together to make for interesting poetry.

Anyway, "First things first". I'll think about it some more.

    1. LOL We have all of those technical ones on the shelf too - I avoided them. I may challenge Captain Awesome to create a geek poem :)

"Embracing the Moon" is a book on Wicca, not sure if it mentions the perigee moon. It was beautiful though x

    2. I'm a moon embracer! If I could (not get arrested) I'd dance naked under it :-)

    3. There must be somewhere you can dance naked under it... that should be our challenge - find a place to dance naked under the moon :)
