Product Review - Be Natural Cereal

I love getting packages. I love interesting cereal. Which is why, when I received a box of Manuka Honey & Spice Clusters with Flakes by Be Natural it was a WIN - WIN situation. I love their Pink Lady Apple cereal, so I was looking forward to discovering a new flavour. Be Natural's policy on ingredients and environmental impact can be read here

Monkey was also very chuffed as usually he isn't allowed to eat the contents of edible parcels until AFTER dinner. Score 1 for Be Natural.

We decided to trial it the next morning.

Monkey loved it! He said it tasted like he was "eating gingerbread men for breakfast" - it does taste sort of like gingerbread men but there is no ginger in it - otherwise it wouldn't have gotten a good rating from me.

Yes, it was that good!
Captain Awesome enjoyed it too, however he felt that they could just leave the bran flakes out and he'd be even happier.

I thought it tasted really good. It had the right amount of crunch and it didn't go soggy in the milk (pet peeve of mine). The flavours were strong without being overpowering. It also wasn't too sweet.

They also reminded me a of Baklava or Hot Cross Buns flavourwise. I would have thought it would make a brilliant oats flavour for winter as it was warming and comforting.

Another bonus is that there are no raisins in it if you have a picky eater.

It's definitely a cereal I will buy again, if only I can find a shop here that stocks it.

Disclaimer: I was not paid by Be Natural, although I received free trial products and $1 off vouchers. I would not review something that I didn't use or recommend to my real life friends. This review is my personal opinion on the product.

  1. I agree, the cereals in their original recipe where delicious. My favorite was the Cashew Almond Hazelnut & Coconut. However, they have since changed their recipe. They have significantly reduced the amount of clusters, so much so that the contents of the box has reduded in weight by 95 grams. The fat content has also increased along with the sugar, sodium & carbs. The only beneficial increase is the fibre content, however, this will be of no benefit to me, due to the lack of flavour I will no longer be buying it. Unfortunately (or fortunately for them) they do not have a facebook page, so this is my only way of sharing. Love to see if others notice the difference!
