It
falls
slowly.
faster
as the
wind
blows,
running
down
my face.
I wipe my
eyes and
smear the
old, the new,
and the cold
tears blur my
clouded vision,
fraying my nerves,
flailing against today,
against the bottled energy
that is my sidekick and constant
companion in the pouring rain. It
falls, silently in the rain, joining
the pure rain, hidden in plain sight,
from the eyes that do not see
the desperation in my
soul.
This is wow! I love how you structured the words so they would form the shape! Love the words!
ReplyDeleteOh, so fantastic! I really felt this and have been there - feeling like that in the rain too. Love the way you've shaped the words into a rain-drop too.
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know when the linky is up x Got to write mine... :)
Linky is up (with my hasty and not very good poem this week... hard to focus with the three girls all calling out to me and I haven't had a coffee yet x).
ReplyDeleteI love this. The words are so strong. I love the presentation, too.
