Yesterday Monkey said two things that made me pause. He usually has a lot to say but these both came at quiet times. They were obviously things he had been mulling over...
"When are we going back to our old life. I miss the things I know."
"When is this show we are in, over?"
How could he, at three, have the same fears and thoughts that I at thirty two have...
How would you have answered him?
Hmmm, that's a tricky one hey? Isn't your move just temporary at the moment? Then perhaps you can tell him that you have come to learn all about this new place and as soon as you are finished having fun, then you'll go back. Or if you go back i.e. in January you can always say "after Christmas" for instance.
