Five Friday Favourites at Five

Here we are at the end of another week. This week I thought I would post four great blog posts I read this week and one video.

Blog posts in no particular order:

  1. A grown up topic and probably applicable to everyone at some stage in their relationship - What’s your sexual potential? Or moving beyond sex as leftovers. Be sure to read through the links too, some good reading there!
  2. A post about Regaining Childhood - Parenting a too fast, too soon generation which I am so aware of, as are most parents. I have even taught a four year old who used to wear G-strings as her mum didn't want her to have knicker lines under her gym slip!
  3. The post that has reverberated with me all week and has had some interesting repercussions - When your best isn't good enough! While you're there look at how she displays her children's art - very keen to copy some of the ideas :)
  4. Something to make you cry and wonder "WTF, is going on in the minds of bureaucrats!!" - A minor heartbreak!
Now for the video - Monkey asked Stud1 to sing "Wherever you are..." this week and it took me a few days to realise he meant this song from Pooh's Grand Adventure... Tissues ready...

Come out moon
Come out wishing star
Come out
Come out
Wherever you are

I’m out here in the dark
All alone and wide awake
Come and find me
I’m empty and I’m cold
And my heart's about to break
Come and find me

I need you to come here and find me
Cause without you I’m totally lost
I've hung a wish on every star
It hasn’t done much good so far
I can only dream of you
Wherever you are

I’ll hear you laugh
I’ll see you smile
I’ll be with you just for a while
But when the morning comes
And the sun begins to rise
I will lose you

Because it’s just a dream
When I open up my eyes
I will lose you

I use to believe in forever
But forever is to good to be true
I've hung a wish on every star
It hasn’t done much good so far

I don’t know what else to do
Except to try to dream of you
And wonder if you are dreaming too
Wherever you are

Wherever you are...

  1. Oh, that song is a real tear jerker! Beautiful!

And as for a 4 yr old in a g-string... NO WAY! That's horrendous and so, so sad :(

    Have a great weekend x
